Strange City is dedicated to ensuring that we pierce and supply our customers with the best available jewelry in the industry. Our motto is simple: If we wouldn't wear it ourselves, we wouldn't want to sell it to you! We offer a fine selection of initial jewelry, including:

Steel

All steel used is 316LVM ASTM F-138 standards compliant implant grade steel. Don't be fooled by shops offering just "surgical" steel; this is an industry catch phrase that has no actual meaning or standards attached to it. A steel counter-top or a kitchen spoon could be referred to as "surgical" steel.

Titanium

We do not stop at just offering the finest steel, all titanium offered meets the exact same quality requirements. We offer only implant grade 6AL4V ASTM F-136 titanium to ensure the utmost safety and biocompatibility requirements are met.

Niobium

We also offer niobium jewelry, which is an elemental metal (Nb, atomic number 41) and is totally hypo-allergenic. We offer various pieces in niobium and it is hand picked with the same discretion that all of our other jewelry is.

Glass

Glass jewelery is beautiful, biocompatible, and lightweight. We carry the best quality glass jewelry available in our industry in Borosilicate, Soda Lime, Obsidian, and Quartz.

Gold

We offer white and yellow gold jewelry in our studio as well!  Purchasing gold jewelry in a studio by jewelry manufacturers instead of a jeweller ensures that you will be getting a well-fitting, made-to-fit, high quality piece of jewelry. Jewellers often use nickel as an alloy in their gold, which is a common irritant and allergen. They also do not deal with body jewelry on a daily basis, and can't guarantee the fit that we can. We can help you choose your gold jewelry based not just on style, but aslo by your specific anatomical requirements through custom order if need be. This way that beautiful jewelry will fit exactly how you want and need it to.

Jewelled Pieces

We want your jewelry to sparkle! We do not, and will not, offer cheap, foil backed rhinestones that lose their lustre and fall out of their settings. We choose to bring you jewelry that has hand set, genuine or synthetic, lab-grown crystals - we guarantee the setting to the point that if your gem were to fall out of it's setting, we would replace it free of charge.

The bottom line is that we care about our jewelry because we care about the safety of our clients. The quality of our jewelry will never be compromised to make us a quick buck. We make sure not to carry potentially harmful jewelry (such as externally threaded or acrylic) jewelry because we care!

How Our Jewelry Works

Striving to give you only the best our industry has to offer means that you can visibly see the difference in our jewelry! Here are just a few examples of why we love our jewelry, and how it works.

Internal VS External Threading

When we are using threaded jewelry, we only use internally threaded jewelry. This means your piercing is not exposed to threads that can harm you and your piercing. Be wary of anything that is externally threaded; on top of the problems already displayed, almost all manufacturers that are producing externally threaded jewelry are not using implant grade metals.

Neometal Threadless Jewelry

We are also proud to carry a very unique and inovative jewelry design from Neometal. Neometal's design completely eliminates threads from the equation altogether, and instead uses press-fit technology to make this jewelry snap together. What this means is that instead of screwing an end in to your barbell, it can simply be pushed in instead! There are no threads to scrape your piercing and harbor bacteria like in an externally threaded barbell, and the ends are very easy to change with just a push or a pull. 

We use Neometal jewelry in all of our 16g & 18g jewelry that would otherwise be threaded, including our nostril jewelry. This means that our nostril jewelry comes in two pieces rather than  the more common single-piece nostril screws, and "L" bend styles. We choose to do this for many reasons: Since your nostril swells when it is pierced, we can pierce you with a longer backing to accomodate for swelling, with the end (gem, ball, spike, etc.) of your choosing. When your piercing is healed we can downsize the backing so it is short enough to fit, while still keeping the end of your choosing. This also means that once you have a backing that fits, you can choose to only change the end of your jewelry while always keeping the well-fitting backing.

We also use Neometal in nostrils because it is, hands down, the most comfortable thing to wear in a nostril. While there is nothing wrong with nostril screws, we simply feel that Neometal offers a more comfortable design. Without all the extra jewelry inside of your nose that a nostril screw would offer, you can't even feel the small disk inside. It is also extremely stable since it is just a straight piece of jewelry; it is much more difficult to pull out during the healing process, and there won't be any additional tail to hang out of your nostril either.

Organics

We carry an extensive range of organic body jewelry as well! Due to the porous quality of organic jewelry, we do not do not suggest wearing it in a fresh piercing. Once healed however, high quality organic body jewelry proves safe and beautiful. Some of the selection that we have includes, but is not limited to:
